Mozambique

Jesus Christ has given us the best possible gift: a right relationship with God. In response to his grace, we are committed to spreading his Good News and doing Good Works, both locally and globally.

2017 Trips

Maputo Training Team

From May 16-May 24, Jonathan Fehl, Sue Neeley, Dale Roddy, and Leo Vollbract will be in Maputo, the capitol of Mozambique, to present two trainings:  “Into the Fields” (No Place Left) and Church Planting Essentials (Dynamic Church Planting International).  Pastor Sergio and Pastor Julio are just two of the 50 people expected to attend this training! The team will also be sharing ways to reach out to Muslims as part of the “Into the Fields” training.

Makeze Medical Team

From May 24-June 4, Hilary Barker, Kacie Craig, Amber Digiamberdine, Sue Neeley, Patty Riley, and Lindsey Smart will be in Makeze working with the pioneer evangelists (community health workers who also share the gospel as they minister to villagers) we have trained in 2014 and 2015. We are introducing physical therapy techniques, especially for children who have been affected by polio and cerebral palsy, and a respiratory therapist help them train others in ways to improve their respiratory health. We are excited to be taking Folia water filters as part of our medical training on hydration and some amazing filters that can be used by families or communities with a 10 year life span from Filters of Hope!

If you want updates and prayer requests from the teams, text PRAYMOZ to (412) 427-4351 and Christine Aber will add you to a text list. If you prefer to receive updates through email, contact Roxy Huber at rhuberdesign@gmail.com to be added to the email list.

Our work in Mozambique is focused in the following areas:

WHEEL

Water– partner with Mozambicans in obtaining and sustaining access to clean water

Health– Training and treating local villagers; providing mosquito nets

Education-Bethel Training Center provides a central location for training in many different areas for sustainable change in Mozambique

Evangelism– Sharing the gospel and supporting Mozambican evangelist and church planters.

Love– Support for Hope House as they care for and educate children at risk

We are committed to sustainability in all these areas with the goal of promoting independence, not dependence. Each year we see visible results of the prayers, time and money dedicated to the work in Mozambique.
